The Seaweed Sisters
Megan Lawson - Jillian Meyers - Dana Wilson
A choreographic trio known for their bright comedy and striking precision. With pink, green, and blue as their visual signatures, they move as three distinct, yet inseparable entities. Their work delivers laughter, critique, and wonder.
Across their growing body of short films, the Seaweed Sisters have developed an idiosyncratic storytelling method, rooted in emotion, environment, and gesture. Through impeccable choreography and a shared fluency in visual storytelling, the trio constructs absurd, yet tender narratives that disarm and delight.

Now, for the first time, the Seaweed Sisters are expanding their choreographic world into a full-length live performance:
an evening inside the sea-cosystem.
After years of bringing their whimsical characters to life on screen, this will be the first time audiences are invited fully into their bubble. Instead of meeting the Seaweeds in the outside world, you will be invited into theirs.
Knock Knock.
This short form documentary offers a glimpse into their creative process and performance of Knock Knock at Congress Vol. IX.
Knock Knock transforms a seemingly empty stage into playful disorientation. Using a mysterious box as a sound portal to the outer world, the Seaweeds respond with full-bodied manifestation—embodying each sonic cue and allowing the audience to see sound. What unfolds is a disjointed, imaginative landscape built from nothing—where humor, curiosity, and movement turn noise into meaning.
